World Gone Crazy (feat. Lucinda Slim)
A 5 track funk single (21m 11s) — released October 6th 2017 on Haggis Records
UK funk/soul dons The Haggis Horns release the second single from their forthcoming fourth album "One Of These Days", out on Haggis Records at the start of November. "World Gone Crazy" is a timely title for these difficult times we are living in right now. A mid-tempo funk soul track with a nice 1970's Sisters Love feel, it features the sweet soul vocals of Lucinda Slim, the now standard super tight brass, a string section, a rocking guitar solo, all underpinned by a steady head nodding funk groove. Following on from the summer single release, the old skool block party hip-hop/funk jam "Take It Back", "World Gone Crazy" showcases the other side of The Haggis Horns - music for listening not just for dancing. The new album has plenty of both styles.
This single is a digital only release and thus a shorter "single edit" and comes with great remixes from Lack Of Afro, Smoove (Smoove & Turrell) and Sam Redmore. The full length epic 8 minute extended version of the song will be on the LP/CD.
As their fourth album drops in November 2017, The Haggis Horns continue to be as popular as ever with more live gigs, festival appearances, interviews, international shows and recordings. Almost two decades on and still on top, like fine wine, they just get better with age.
